Christmas Presents (maybe)

His Lordship sets to with the olives from our magnificent tree which have been soaking in salt water in the woodshed for two weeks. Olive oil, chunks of garlic, herbs and a home grown red chilli pepper, all squashed together in Bonne Maman jars.

He's looking mighty pleased with himself. "Wonderful Christmas presents" he announces and starts listing all the lucky recipients. "Like the Sloe Gin then" I say. I'm dismissed with an airy wave. "It was your idea to test it" he retorts.

I am absolutely determined that this year I am not going to panic. I repeat, I AM NOT GOING TO PANIC.

So where then is that batch of lavender I was going to pop into those sweet little unfinished home made bags I started on last year ?
