His Lordship and 2b

His Lordship was last spotted practically running with a watering can. 'Can't stop' he panted 'urgent watering beckons' The garden is at it's best in June. The roses and french lavender have finished but the large poppies are magnificent. A highly scented syringa bush is filling the air with its prolific perfume and the vine is travelling and snaking its way along the wire at an impressive rate. Sitting on the kitchen table is a bunch of divine sweet peas which His Lordship has grown especially for me as they are my favourite flowers. Such dedication to the garden is admirable.

There is of course a drawback to living in such a mouthwatering spot. We do get some awfully nice guests. My last visitor for example, a fellow blogger was a very switched on, smart, upbeat lady who immediately went back and knocked off some very impressive blogs on the area with super photo's to boot. I think I'm going to suggest a job swop though as being surrounded by your own homemade scrumptious ice-cream sounds like heaven. Move over Ben and Jerry's and the likes of Haagen Daz 'mrmoos' of Yorkshire is ready for world domination !!

2b however is in his element this week. I've never seen a laddie switch quite so rapidly from 'grunting disinterested boy' to something that can only be best described as 'laughing dolphin boy',you would think he had never been in the pool before with a drop dead gorgeous American girl of the same age. Next thing you know and she is being paraded round the village while the local French lads are standing dumbstruck by 2b's cushy job of entertaining and making our visitors feel welcome.

Meanwhile though I am alerted to the fact that the garage appears to be flooding from a leak in the garden hose. Letting my eye's follow a long trail of bright yellow pipe I see His Lordship attached to the end and there in front of him laid out and sunning themselves beautifully are four generations of American beauties positively luxuriating in the South of France sunshine.

I cannot fault 2b and His Lordship's dedication to the guests wellbeing this week !

Top tottie is always a winner.
What will they make of the Purplecoo motley crew when/if they ever arrive I wonder.
Well if Suffolkmum accompanies us we may see a lot of them!

Sweet peas are one of my favourites too...had them cascading all over my wedding cake...in fact, come to think of it, they are probably still there (eleven years on) mouldering in the attic.....eek.
off to look at muddyboots' blog now for pics.

Sweetpeas are 'our' flowers (Hub3 and me). Your garden sounds so divine I can almost smell it.
