Twitter from the Languedoc

From the purveyor of the 'Feelgood Factor' I'm whooshing onto your screens this morning just brimming over with FF. It's a picture postcard morning, sun shining, snow glistening and gleaming on those snow capped Pyrenees I'm so blessed to gaze out onto. The birds are twittering on the slowly unfurling branches, the surrounding countryside awakening to spring laying down its blanket of my favourite season.

Have to admit though that have I been seriously distracted by the stunning weather of late, I mean temperatures up in the 70's which had me scrambling for the sunbed and suntan lotion, you don't suppose I work all the time surely ? When the pangs of guilt became overwhelming I donned an old rather fetching pair of 2b's old battered and ripped Animal jeans. Felt rather laid back as I perched lazily amongst the flowerbeds gently weeding amongst all my wild flowers. The Small Cross One marches out to survey the possibility of lounging by the pool. 'You must promise never to wear those jeans ever again' she says in her forthright manner. Felt seriously deflated and all of my advancing years.

Still never mind there were my birthday celebrations to consider with a good old bottle of champagne tucked away and very generously bestowed on me by a visitor to Le Chateau. One of the problems on becoming a mature woman is that your children mature alongside you too and mine are now of the age when a chilled bottle of champagne is seriously interesting and Mummy's birthday takes on some importance.

As the bubbles rapidly disappeared before my very eyes and any feelgood factor to be gained from such a fine bottle was slowly diminishing, for myself at least, I announced loftily that SallysChateau was now on Twitter.

Stunned silence for at least a minute until peals of laughter filled the air. 'You're a natural' they said before dissolving into more giggling.

The joke was lost on me.

Happy Birthday from me too. I thought of you on my way back from Barcelona, but probably flying a bit to the East (en route for Amsterdam), almost directly over the Mill, though.
Snow on all the peaks, the Pyrenees and the Cantal Volcanoes. Lovely weather on the ground too. I have weather envy, here it is cold and windy and no cause to open the champagne. 'Bonne Continuation,' as they say.
