Christmas New Year France

Look, this absolutely proves that here at Le Chateau Lasserre we are preparing ourselves for visitors over the festive season. In fact this little chap will sit on top of my lovely Aga baked Christmas cake. AND, I am well aware that I have promised a slice to all my visitors. AND, as if that were not enough a bottle of the local bubbly is ready and waiting in the fridge of the gite. "Tis the season of goodwill" after all.

I'll let you in to an insy winsy secret though if you promise not to tell anyone else.

Not only do I have a whopping Christmas stocking hidden away to hang over the fireplace on Christmas Eve I've made a secret batch of delicious sloe gin to go with all those lovely mince pies I'm planning to eat.
