Behind closed doors ...
Make your way up the wide marble staircase to the very top floor of Le Chateau. There you will find yet another long corridor stretching out before you with original old tiling underfoot in beautiful hues of the softest rose. To the end a window with an expansive view to the South, the Pyrenees very nearly obscured by the heat haze of the summer months, vineyards stretch to the horizon interspersed with newly sown sunflowers in immaculately cultivated fields. The neighbouring village sits prettily in a fold of hills its church spire reaching towards the sky as it has done for 800 years.
But wait, what is this facing us with its intriguing and tempting handle.? Why is there a well worn hole on this ancient doorway, and more importantly where does it lead to ?
Of course its secrets are divulged to visitors of Le Chateau, meanwhile what do you all think lies behind it ?
