Christmas in a French Chateau
Fed up of having to toil over a hot stove at Christmas ? Does the thought of yet another Christmas trying to compete with Country Living's artfully arranged baubles and Nigella Lawson domestic Goddess's leave you feeling frazzled ?
I have the perfect solution!
If peace and harmony in an atmosphere of old world elegance is what you dream of then look no further. Imagine this.
Coming in from the crisp evening air and throwing open the double doors the lights from the Christmas Tree reflecting on the panelled hallway your eyes travel up the sweeping staircase decorated with holly and ivy. With the smell of Christmas spices in the air and a log fire crackling in the hearth you know this is how Christmas should really be spent.
For the first time we are opening Le Chateau for the Christmas/New Year weeks. You can either take the self catering option or we can cater for you using the very best of fresh ingredients tailor made to your requirements. Sample the diverse wines of the Languedoc region, browse the markets for local specialities but best of all soak up the atmosphere of a totally uncommercial Christmas this year.
And if all that tempts you visit Le Chateau for further pictures of this beautiful house.

Once again, you have just created such a beautiful invitation to your part of France.
Maybe, one of these days, I will be lucky enough to get there.
Is there ever a possibility of a single booking, or would I be better off trying to collect some other pals who might want to visit?
In my traveling experience, it can be tough trying to get friends' schedules to coincide, but maybe, sometime in 2008, you might ... with our help ... put together a purple week or some such.
May be a terrifying thought, but 2008 is still far, far away.
