Not so lazy days in the Languedoc
Last night I sat and watched the beautiful huge orb of the full moon rising slowly and majestically from behind the far away hills. From a sliver of light it rose rapidly turning into a deep golden glow with a tinge of blood red. It hung magnificently in the still warm evening air whilst the surrounding countryside was enveloped by the night.
This morning saw me contemplating the morning and watching the moon yet again as it descended radiating a pure white glow into the Pyrenees. As the sunrise began so the mountains in the distance, still with a sprinkling of snow on top blushed with the first rays. Tonight no doubt I will watch the process yet again marvelling at the simple beauty of nature seated comfortably on my shabby chic wicker sofa on the terrace.
Today we have a scorcher and I am hard at work crouched over the computer, forging my way forward with new ideas listening to the idle crickets outside the window whilst The Small Cross One flops languidly in the pool, face covered by a battered straw hat whilst the sunbed slowly turns in the gentle current.
This week brings the news that a major television company has decided not to go ahead with the most riveting programme on the truly inspirational story of behind the scenes at Sally's Chateau. The idea was to present an uplifting programme amongst the doom and gloom and general dumbing down that seems to filter out at an alarming rate and entertain you all with a series that would have you cheering and whooping with delight at the antics and triumphs of the residents of Le Chateau tucked down in France profonde. As there were mutterings and rumblings of dissent in the ranks of having to participate in 'more bloomin' promotions masterminded by yours truly it was perhaps a good thing. Instead readers of a book to be published 'How to Write Your Lifestory' will be entertained as to how Sally's Chateau evolved. Slipped that in quietly didn't I ??
Most unlike me.

PS - the mere tip of the iceberg in my naughtiness, Sally - one day we will get sloshed and can swap wild stories.
Glorious photo as ever Sally, you should really do a coffee table book of the Aude with all your stunning photos , I am sure it would be a winner!

Leather bound, naturally, as it will be a classic....
Whatever sort of opportunity comes your way will be so well deserved. I continue to be entranced by how you take us to your part of France.
All best wishes. xo
Hah once the book is out the TV company will be gnawing their fingernails at letting the programme slip through their careless fingers.
Book, however does sound interesting...
There's nothing like a perfect full moon & glad you're having lovely weather - drizzly and 'orrible here.
